Chisholm Trail Tour

The Chisholm Trail ran from the ranches of south Texas to Abilene, Kansas along present day Highway 81.  Experience the Trail at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center with interactive exhibits for all ages.  Highlights include the 4D Thomas McCasland, Jr. Experience Theater, where you can actually smell the bacon and feel the stampede.  Animatronic Jesse Chisholm talks with first time cowboy, Tex, about the history of the Trail.  Add the Garis Gallery of the American West with its internationally known artists like Frederick Remington, George Catlin, Charles Russel and Allan Houser as well as regional and local favorites.

Accessible for those with mobility issues. Non-English or Sign Language tour guides available with advanced request.  Educators in period costume or group creativity projects available for additional fees. Contact the Center for full details on tour options.
